Mental Wellness

Virtual* Mental Wellness

Presently, 1 out of 5 adults in the United States experiences some form of Mental Health challenge. About a quarter of those individuals also experience challenges with substance use. Recovery Coaches come across individuals with such experiences on a daily basis. Seeking to understand a person’s experience and using strength based language is vital in order to have the ability to effectively support people in Mental Health and Addiction Recovery. How do Recovery Coaches provide such support so that individuals with these experiences may be supported in fostering their recovery? * Virtual Training via Zoom. Computer and internet connection required.

During this workshop, participants will:

· Explore how to assist their Recoverees in exploring what Mental Wellness means to them;

· Focus on the importance of Strength Based Language and how it plays a key role in supporting individuals in Mental Health Recovery;

· Overview Trauma and discuss how to approach it within the scope of Recovery Coaching; and

· Discover skills necessary to guide Recoverees in working towards achieving defined Mental Wellness and put them to practice.

This training provides 3 CEs.
