Ethics For The Recovery Workforce

Ethics for the Recovery Workforce

The start of a new decade has brought on a global pandemic, social duress and familial distress. Thus far, we have seen increased alcohol and other drug use, spikes in drug overdose, increased mental health challenges, economic fragility, increasingly limited access to professional services as well as a spike in suicidal ideation. The need for Recovery and related supports are rapidly increasing. The implementation of the Peer Recovery Workforce is rapidly increasing. It is imperative that ethics and ethical processes are front and center in order to bolster recovery and maximize its outcomes.

During this workshop, participants will:

  • Explore their process of conscious formation;
  • Formulate the creation of boundaries and identify their importance;
  • Identify their personal set of values and figure how to internalize them;
  • Model how ethical standards can bolster recovery for individuals;
  • Review how ethics play a role in organizational as well as program design.
  • Practice ethical leadership in a supportive environment.

This training provides 6 CEs.
