It’s been a long month for so many of us! As Recovery Month took hold, there were countless events all over the State, Country and the World! Lots and Lots of FuN! In Massachusetts, the 39 Recovery Centers had a contest to see which center attended the MOST events. Talk about a Party! Congratulations to the Peer to Peer Recovery Center in Fall River, MA who won the contest which was announced at the MOAR Recovery Day event at the end of Recovery Month!
We kicked off the month with some noise out at Sober in the Park Festival in Palmer! and then spoke at a very official spot in Prince William County, Virginia.
Maryanne Frangulies, the Executive Director of MOAR is officially retiring this year. We are honored to have had the opportunity to work with you these past few years. Thank you for all of your Service, 33 YEARS in the Commonwealth! Boston Mayor Michelle Wu Honored Maryanne at the event.
At the same time, a few miles south, Phil Valentine also retired from CCAR and passed the torch onto Stacy Charpentier as the new Executive Director of CCAR.
CONGRATULATIONS to ALL who are celebrating and working on their wellness in ANY capacity, on ANY pathway. You are needed now more than ever!
Just when we were thinking to kick it back a notch, we are currently at the Friends of NY Peer Conference in Albany , where we attended an incredibly inspiring Equity Dinner with the wonderful folks from Both AND Partners.
At the end of the month, we are headed over to Lisbon, Portugal to present at the International Lisbon Addictions Conference! Never a dull moment in this thing called Recovery!
In the Meantime..
