Tools & Strategies: Applied Coaching & Supervision 2CEs

Recovery Coaching is a growing role/ service that is being implemented across a wide array of systems. Community Health Centers, Behavioral Health Settings, Emergency Departments,
Police and Criminal Justice Settings, Recovery Centers, Schools, Primary Care, Department of Children and Families, Faith based settings, Public Housing, amongst other settings have all
benefited from Peer Recovery Supports.

With much attention being given to the disparities within the behavioral health and related systems across the country, much training continues to be developed in order to support these
fields. Rightfully so. Statistics show that the number of people with mental health and substance use challenges has doubled within the United States alone. The question is, what happens when participants complete said trainings? How are the concepts being woven into learnings being implemented within daily practices?

This class will highlight the daily practices of the peer workforce and foster a culture of continued development for peer practitioners and their supervisors alike.

After this training, Participants will be able to :

  • Explore which tools coaches are currently employing and which ones they may need to
    pick up.
  • Review their purposefulness within supervisory practices.
  • To explore additional tools and strategies used to coach recovery and the methods used to
    implement them in Peer supervision.

This class is funded by a grant from RIZE Massachusetts Foundation, a foundation committed to ending the opioid epidemic and reducing its devastating impact on people, families, and communities.

This training provides 2 CEs.
